Download Hawkstream NITF Viewer Client

HawkView is an experimental NITF image viewer client. It is currently available for Windows, but will be made available for other platforms soon. It is available here as a free download for trial purposes.

The most recent version v0.1.12 (released 8th December 2024) allows images with location data to be overlaid on a map. The download consists of a zip file containing a .exe file.

The decoder is being re-written for cross-platform portability. It does not yet handle all NITF file variants. The NITF standard is quite broad in what it permits, and adding support for image types that are actually used in the real world is the priority. Please send us any examples of images for which you would like support added.
