Download Hawkstream NITF Viewer Client

HawkView is an experimental NITF image viewer client. It is currently available for Windows, but will be made available for other platforms soon. It is available here as a free download for trial purposes.

The most recent version v0.1.12 (released 8th December 2024) allows images containing BLOCKA position information to be shown overlayed on a map (opens in a browser window from the "Map Overlay Link" tab that is shown when this feature is available).

The decoder is being re-written for cross-platform portability and is still limited in the range of NITF files it can handle. The NITF standard is quite broad in what it permits, and adding support for image types that are actually used in the real world is the priority. Please send us any examples of images for which you would like support added.
